How we work
CCCS of Northeastern Iowa is here to helpOur
mission is to help you manage your money more effectively and get you out of
debt. Our certified credit counselors will help take the fear out of the
experience. |
 |
Action Plan
When you call or come to the office,
bring your bills and most recent check stubs. You will be given a statement of
service which details all the possible services we can offer you. It is up to
you to choose which service fits your needs. Remember, there is no cost for our credit
counseling. |
 |
Contact a Counselor for an Appointment During
the first session, you will set up a budget and develop a plan of action to
control your debt. You set your goals. You determine your financial future.
CCCS is here to help but you determine your success.
The following are two of the programs we offer:
- Debt Management Plans - with a Debt
Management Plan, you deposit with CCCS a specific amount of money your
creditors need. This also pays the costs of your plan. You will receive our
credit education book, Credit When Credit is Due and a class schedule. The
counselor will walk you through the paperwork. After the session, the counselor
will contact your creditors and start the plan. Now, you are on the road to
debt recovery and better money management.
- Bill Paying Accounts - Under these plans, we
pay more than your credit card debt. You deposit your paychecks and receive
weekly payments. We help you learn how to manage money more effectively. A
counselor will give you more specifics when you visit.
